Our Founder & CEO
Freda Makanete
Freda is the founder and Managing Director of Ubuntu Mother and Baby Care (careubuntu.co.za), a midwife-led maternity and baby clinic based in Cosmo City, Gauteng. With over a decade of hands-on healthcare and business leadership, she has built Ubuntu into a trusted community resource offering comprehensive maternal and child services. Sister Freda holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) from the University of Johannesburg and has held nursing and midwifery roles at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, Dis-Chem Pharmacies, and the South African National Blood Service before establishing her own practice in 2013.
